Small models. Privacy.

SDG is Gramscii’s AI workspace for documents, data and research. Read PDFs and scans, analyse Excel, search the web and Open Data, and create maps and presentations.

Small models, local document processing. Need more power? Choose Regolo: open weight models, Seeweb data centres in Italy and Zero Data Retention.

01 Gramscii

Born in Italy.
Built for a European future.

We are an Italian innovative startup. Privacy, control over data and responsible use of AI guide our work.

We develop SDG to make AI useful for professionals, businesses and public administration. We focus on local models and European services such as Regolo when additional computing power is needed.

Transparent sources, access control and the choice of where to process data are part of our mission, reflecting the European focus on privacy and the AI Act.

02 The models

We start with small models.
For more accessible, private AI.

We believe in specialized models that can also run on smaller computers.

We train and evaluate our models for specific tasks. Our goal is to improve performance where it matters and reduce the need for large hardware for every operation.

We have published SemanticRepair-270M to help the system interpret requests. We are preparing examples and evaluations to specialize document reading as well.

03 Privacy

Choose where your AI works.

On your computer

With local models, documents and requests are processed on the computer hosting SDG. Scanned documents can also be read locally. Performance depends on the model and hardware.

On Regolo, in Europe

If your computer is unsuitable or you need more computing power, you can choose Regolo for models and OCR. The necessary content is sent to the service. Regolo states that it does not retain it after processing or use it to train models.

Zero Data Retention means that the processing service does not retain the content of requests and responses. Your archive and SDG history remain managed within your installation.

Web research contacts external sources and search engines. Choose which information to use in searches and keep it separate from confidential documents.

01 The platform

One chat. From document to result.

Fewer steps between tools. More time for your work.

Use SDG in your browser to organize and query your documents. Combine an Excel spreadsheet, web research and public data, then continue the conversation to explore further or prepare a presentation.

It is designed for professionals, businesses and public administration. Answers show their sources, so you can return to the document or data they come from.

Documents and Excel spreadsheets

Find information in PDFs, text and tables. Compare documents and work with numbers without copying them manually.

Scans and forms

Optical character recognition (OCR) reads text, tables and numbers in scans. Digitize forms and work with the fields to complete.

Web research and Open Data

Combine web sources with your files and public data. Compare information across available places and periods.

Maps and PowerPoint

Show results on a map and turn them into a PowerPoint presentation to download and share.

Team Colleagues and shared spaces

Your AI team.
Your team’s workspace.

We are developing a version of SDG where you can create AI colleagues and work with them individually or as a team.

A colleague for each task

Choose its responsibility: reading contracts, analyzing costs or researching the web. Give it instructions and choose its local or remote AI model. Open a chat with that colleague for a specific task.

A team for broader work

Choose Team and make a request. SDG organizes the work among colleagues: each performs its task, and their contributions are combined into an answer with sources. Independent activities can run in parallel.

One computer, several people

SDG can be installed on a computer that acts as a server, at the office or at home. It hosts the archive and local models. People connect through a browser on their computer or phone, without installing models on every device.

Personal and group spaces

Each person has a personal space for documents and conversations. Shared spaces hold the work of a company, group or family. The administrator manages access: connecting to the same server does not mean seeing everyone’s files.

A team example

Prepare a decision together.

Company documents + cost analysis + web research + PowerPoint

Ask the team

“Compare these three quotes with the project requirements. Find the product specifications online and prepare a presentation covering costs, differences and points to clarify.”

One colleague compares the documents, another examines costs and another finds specifications online. SDG combines their contributions and sources. The work stays in the company’s shared space, where members can consult it.

The version with AI colleagues is in development and verification. Accounts and shared spaces are already part of SDG; we are completing teamwork and evaluations with different models.

02 Workflow examples

Excel, web, data and documents.
In the same conversation.

Start with a file or a question. The features work together.

These are example requests and expected results. Available sources, dates and geographical coverage determine which comparisons are possible.

Architects and engineers

Understand a place before designing.

Addresses + census + maps + web research + PowerPoint

To start

An address in Milan and the project documents.

Ask the chat

“Find the census section for this address and its population data. Show it on a map, find the municipal land-use plan (PGT) documents on the city website and prepare a presentation with sources.”

You get

A map of the location, linked census data and available urban planning references, brought together in slides.

Construction companies

Compare a quote with the required work.

Excel + documents + web research + PowerPoint

To start

The quote in Excel and the specifications in PDF.

Ask the chat

“Compare the quote with the specifications: which items do not match?”
“Find the technical data sheets for the listed materials online and prepare slides for the meeting.”

You get

An explanation of the differences, with the relevant specification passages and spreadsheet cells.

Technical data sheets found online and a presentation of the points to discuss in the meeting.

Businesses and investors

Study a market using several sources.

Excel + Open Data + web research + maps + PowerPoint

To start

An Excel spreadsheet with sales by province and the period to analyze.

Ask the chat

“How did population and employment change in the provinces in my spreadsheet during the same years as the sales?”
“Show the provinces on a map, find businesses in the sector online and prepare an eight-slide presentation.”

You get

Public population and employment data alongside your sales, for the same provinces and years. Sources and periods are stated in the comparison.

A map of the provinces, businesses in the sector found online and an eight-slide presentation.

Funding and tenders

Find tenders suited to your business.

Tenders + company profile + documents + web research + forms + presentations

To start

The company profile.

Ask the chat

“Find engineering services tenders in Lombardy and compare the requirements with our profile.”
“For the most relevant tenders, gather deadlines, required documents and online updates. Then prepare a presentation for the team.”

You get

A list of tenders with their requirements compared against your profile, supported by the relevant documents.

Deadlines, tender documents, updates found online and a presentation for the team. You can then continue with the bid forms.

Public administration

Read scans and compare data.

OCR + documents + Open Data + PowerPoint

To start

The scanned documents and the area to analyze.

Ask the chat

“What do the scanned documents say about spending and projects in 2024?”
“Compare these figures with public data for the same municipality and prepare a presentation with results and sources.”

You get

Text read from scans, with cited passages, and a comparison with public data available for that municipality.

A presentation with the results and sources used.

Published PGT coverage concerns Milan and Lombardy. For tenders and funding opportunities, requirements and official documents must be checked before participating.
